This week on 40plusandalliswell

It's all happening at the allotment - we are harvesting so much produce at the moment that I can't post fast enough about them all. For this reason I am combining 'harvesting the broad beans' with a Meatless Monday with this 'Summer broad bean soup'.

The blog post on sucralose has been edited to include both sides of the sucralose debate.

'Fragrance is such a wonderful window into the past. I find it really exciting that through a combination of scents, often purchased relatively cheaply, you can share the same sensory experience as someone living over 150 years ago- it really is scenting history'.
In this guest blog post Becky recreates an eau de cologne from history.

We have been enjoying luscious strawberries from the allotment over the past couple of weeks - if you are lucky your harvest will last around three weeks.
On my 'sister blog there are tips for growing strawberries and a link to my recipe for 'Strawberry shortcake sundaes'- http://40plusandalliswell.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/harvesting-strawberries.html
